What is the deadline date for the school to submit artwork?

Answer: Our deadline date of 8th November ensures that we can print cards by the first week in December. Upon request (in advance) we will extend this date, however the return date will also extend, allow at least 2 weeks for cards.

How long does delivery of the cards take?

Answer: Cards ordered before 8th November will be delivered by the first week of December, if you are able to order sooner, delivery is also likely to be sooner.

When and how do we pay you?

Answer: We require payment with artwork. Please send a cheque for the full amount made payable to Paul Newcombe

Do you charge for delivery?

Answer: Delivery is charged at £4.95 for very small orders only, if you are ordering 17 packs or over then standard delivery is free.

Are we able to order packs of mixed designs?

Answer: Mixed design packs are available for schools to sell to teachers, other staff or at Christmas Fayres to the general public.

Packs of 6 cards, 6 designs cost £2.00 each,

Packs of 12 cards, 6 designs cost £3.75 each.

The minimum order for mixed packs is 15 packs of 6 or 10 packs of 12. Providing the minimum quantity has been reached, you do not need to order in multiples of 10; if for example you have received advance orders from teachers totalling 12 packs of 12, you may order 12 packs.

Who should parents make their cheques payable to?

Answer: Parents make the cheques payable to the school, NOT to us. The school collects individual parental payments and then they create one cheque payable to P NEWCOMBE and return with completed artwork.

How does the children's artwork get to Cards for Schools Etc?

Answer: The artwork from all pupils should be posted in one parcel by special delivery to Cards for Schools Etc, Highridge, Bow Mill Lane, Bow, Crediton, EX17 6JE. Alternatively for smaller orders, where you have the ability and would like to save money, you may scan the art sheets and email over the designs with completed order form and printed list of names – we recommend a scanned image resolution of 300dpi.

What drawing materials can the children use to create the artwork?

Answer: We recommend if posting artwork use felt tip, crayon or coloured pencils only, painted images are more prone to damage in the post and should be colour photo-copied or scanned and emailed separately, however if you wish to send all your artwork digitally you may use any format that you can scan. For example collage, decoupage, paints, chalks or pastels.

PLEASE AVOID USING HIGH LIGHTER PENS and GLITTER AS THEY WILL NOT SCAN CORRECTLY!

Can a child submit more than one Christmas card design?

Answer: Yes, however only one design may be submitted per pack of 12 cards, simply fill in one sheet for each design.

Are there a minimum number of pupils that can participate in any one school?

Answer: Yes. There is a minimum of 10 pupils or designs per school; this small number allows even tiny schools and nurseries to participate.

Will we receive proof sample cards for all designs?

No, in order to provide a service for all schools and keep minimum order quantities low we do not provide proof cards. We do supply free sample cards to schools to show the quality of our product.
